At that speed it’s hard to tell whether it’s good or bad to be honest. All you know is it’s fast. Faster than the dude with the knives on Heroes.

Technically, banana trees don’t exist. Bananas grow on really big herbs!

Just like ‘Day of the Triffids‘ right?  The banana plant is the world’s largest herb and can grow up to around 8 meters tall.  The reason the plant is classified as a herb is because there are no woody fibres in the trunk,..which means the ‘trunk’ is actually a stem.  What’s kinda cool is that [...]

Some of you may already know that I strongly support the BloggersUnite initiative and today is the day they have asked us to help spread the word and help to bring donations to those who really need it.  It’s right that we should all do what we can in such horrific times.

OMGFacts is gone and Dr. Martin Luther King did not spend his last night on Earth having sex with two women.

Okay,..that doesn’t seem like much of a fact right? Well, this isn’t one of my regular posts.

Well it turns out not everything is [...]

In 2004, David Bowie was nearly blinded when a fan threw a lollipop in his eye.

As if it weren’t enough that pop oddity Bowie is most fondly remembered as the makeup clad he-she Ziggy Stardust, in June ‘04 the poor guy took a Chupa-Chups to the eye like a dart.  I’ve heard of ‘nose candy’ but never ‘eye candy’!
Whilst Bowie was playing a gig in Oslo, Norway, the presumably crazed [...]

The first laptop was made in 1982 by GRID Systems Corp. It cost ten thousand dollars.

You’ve got to be a pretty big nerd to shell out 10G for a computer that, honestly,..didn’t do that much.  $10,000 in 1982 would have gotten you a night with Leslie Easterbrook from Police Academy,..maybe even a full weekend!  It’s for that reason, it was mainly used by NASA and the military special forces; who [...]

The Word Blog Was First Used By Peter Merholz in 1999.

Peter Merholz is a founding partner, board member, and president of Adaptive Path; a user experience consultancy company.
The original term was of course ‘weblog’, which was coined by the famous anti-semite, Jon Barger, in 1997.  The term weblog was lightheartedly split in two on Peter’s own blog PeterMe.com, into the two words ‘We Blog’ in April/May 1999. [...]
