The voice of Megatron and Eeyore come from the same man.

Odd as it may be, for a while at least, it was the same guy.

Peter Cullen was the voice actor for not only Megatron and Eeyore but for a very impressive list characters spanning that last 40 years of TV and film including my personal favorite, ‘Voltron: Defender of the Universe‘. Don’t snigger, everyone loves Voltron!

Peter also played the voice of Optimus Prime in the original cartoon series between ‘84 and ‘87 and in the animated feature ‘Tranformers: The Movie‘ but unfortunately didn’t get cast for the most recent ‘The Revenge of the Fallen‘. Instead, they went for the dude who played agent Smith in the matrix,..Hugo Weaving.

Wrong. So wrong. Peter Cullen was the voice of Optimus Prime in the 1st gen series and the movies, AND the voice of Eeyore. Frank Welker was the voice of the original Megatron and was replaced by Hugo Weaving for the movies.
